Re: A Little Bit Of Atmosphere! 3
Thanks very much Stephen. That shot only came about by chance. I had been creating a standard scenario with the 9F and went to give it a test run, but I had forgotten to tick the player consist box and so it started without intervention from me
I just followed it and took a couple of shots. I'll have to look and see if any of the rest are worthy of this thread.

Yes that's a very atmospheric shot.
Gradually getting the assets for the W&B scenarios. I'm determined to make them work this time

And a nice freeware item from trensim for US routes

Re: A Little Bit Of Atmosphere! 3
Here's a few from me of a practice I remember well from childhood

Busy times at Georgemas Junction, as the lunchtime trains for Inverness arrive. The Wick portion has arrived into the Up platform and the Thurso train waits on the Down line.

The Thurso train draws forward to clear the points at the Wick end of the station.

The Thurso coaches are backed down onto the rear of the waiting Wick portion. The Wick/Thurso crews weren't particularly gentle with this manouvre and I have seen an American tourist being shot head first across a compartment, when he stood up wondering why we had stopped so long

The coaches now coupled up, the Thurso engine heads back to the down line, where it will sit waiting for the next northbound train in a few hours.

The completed train heads south. Even in the mid '80's, when the services were Class 37 hauled, it would take 3h 40m for the 140 odd miles from Georgemas to Inverness. Sadly, this procedure ended a good few years back. The Sprinters used today no longer split/join at Georgemas, instead reversing for Thurso and then heading onto Wick. The Southbound trains go straight to Thurso from Wick, before heading back to Georgemas and then to Inverness.
