Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
Exactly. By the time I reach the other end of the route I'm almost glad it's over. Then I take a sip of soda and play it again.msey0002 wrote:about 6 miles. I tell you though, after driving the 6 miles, you feel like you drove 40 with all the work you have to do. you really have to be on your toes. brilliantalmark wrote:Can i ask,how many miles long, roughly is the route???

Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
seems such a short route and if you didnt buy the 380 its £19.99!
is it worth it?
Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
Oh yes, its definitly worth it. Dont forget for your £20 you also get the amazing class 380. Hopefully it wont be to long before we see some scenarios appearing for it, I'm working on a few myself just now which will be hopefully quite intense, hopefully get them out about the end of next week if they work ok.
Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
Some pics from my own scenario..

3 blue trains at Glasgow Central.

Virgin train arrives.

Two 390's meeting and one 380 leaving Glasgow Central.

Meeting with GARL train.

Class 66 resting.

Passing another 380.

Hi, Mikel, just tried to run your scenario, and RW Tools reports this missing:

Which I believe is the VT class 390 reskin, which I have installed at \S9BL\Class390Addon\RailVehicles\Electric\Class390\VT
I am writing tihs to let you know that this will yield the above mentioned error for many people.

Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
Thats weird, don't understand why you get error? Did you install the virgin as the readme says?
P.S
When you stop at Gilmore P street the second time, a message will say that you should drive to airport, ignore this. This should stand the first time you stopped.

If you're referring to [UKTSFile 2899] I think I did (taken from the "readme" file):MickeL wrote:Thats weird, don't understand why you get error? Did you install the virgin as the readme says?
Installation Instructions:
Note: before installation - if you screw it up, it might be an idea to back up the 390 before you fiddle around with it, just in case.
* Navigate to your 390 asset folder - by default it is located here:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\S9BL\Class390Addon\RailVehicles\Electric\Class390
* Copy the GNER folder in full into the same directory, and rename it "VT".
* Unzip this package into that folder - It will ask you if you wish to overwrite existing files. Take a deep breath, and hit "Yes". This will overwrite the GNER textures you just copied, with the new VT texture set.
* Delete blueprints.pak from:
C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\S9BL\Class390Addon
Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
What a very strange way of looking at it. If you did buy the 380 and got the route for £7.99 it works out at £19.98. Not entirely sure where you were going with that one!firstgreat222 wrote:seems such a short route and if you didnt buy the 380 its £19.99!is it worth it?

Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
Ottodad is already in the process of declaring the route rubbish on train-sim.com, which is a guarantee that it is worth every penny, and then some. Now, if Ottodad had been praising it, on the other hand, I'd be a lot more careful with my money...firstgreat222 wrote:seems such a short route and if you didnt buy the 380 its £19.99!is it worth it?

Re: Glasgow Airport Rail Link
what i was trying to drive at darpor is that as we are in the wonderous age of payware its a very short route for a lot of cash (dont forget im sure steam will hike the price up as £19.99 is already discounted down from £24.99 i believe) as all these railworks addons appear to be , unlike im guessing most of you guys im not made of money and owning most of the railworks addons on steam or just trains would cost me a small fortune!Darpor wrote:What a very strange way of looking at it. i was just asking a question of the community not slamming the payware boys so no offence was meant
