California Junction

Post by marr5 »

RW-Route Junction City
here are some progress shots of this freelance California Layout.
it's the early 1950's and Steam is slowly fading away in this Southern California route and is a major junction between Southern Pacific and Santa Fe. Southern Pacific does most of the Switching duties in this city but only runs a single manline through, while Santa Fe runs a Double track Main through. (the City isnt named yet but if anyone wants to name the city leave your suggestions here.)

Image
The Southern Pacific main crosses the double track Santa Fe main after leaving the station. the Santa Fe Yard is Visible in the back round

Image
north bound Amtrak awaits a South bound Freight.

Image
A North bound Daylight awaits A clear signal at the Beach

Image
one of the many Oil storage and Refineries.

Image
a large flour plant...thing ( I dont know but it looks cool:cool:)

Image
A south bound Daylight creeps toward the station as a SP local Freight heads into town. The main line for the Santa Fe seems to be busy as a hot shot passes by.

North side of the Santa Fe yard is complete but the engine facility and south side still need to be complete.

This looks very impressive. Does it use just default assets?

Very nice indeed! Coyoteville seems apt for that certain scene  reminding me of the old cartoons. Really though the screen of the rock embankment and the water is brilliant , very nice

yay new updates! I am almost complete with the Railway Express Agency (REA) terminal and the Railway post office.

Image
the REA terminal. (almost done)

Railway post office track.

Image
the Station, REA terminal is on the left and passenger platforms are on the right.

Image
redid some of the ATSF Yard so it would look nicer and be more accesible for other locomotives.

thank that shoot is one of my favorites too. I have been thinking about naming it Grizzly Flats but I think I will save that for my next RR. :o
