Can you do this?
Hi. Thinking of getting Railworks 2 (3 is too powerful for my pc). I just want to know, can you add new trains to it, like my favorite, the Class 158? Cheers

Re: Can you do this?
Hello and welcome!
Firstly, everyone who purchases Railworks whether it be Railworks (the first edition), Railworks 2 or Railworks 3 (Train Simulator 2012) you will automatically be updated to the latest version because you have to register your key on Steam to make sure the game will work when you do this Steam downloads the latest copy of the game for you. You can use Train Simulator 2012 in what RSC like to call 'legacy mode'. It is basically Railworks 2 with a tweak or two. Some have reported it isn't the same but the majority say it is the same as Railworks 2.
You can download addons from the Steam store and other sites. The Class 158 is available and is also available with the new Settle to Carlisle line.
Feel free to ask any more questions.
Thanks
Jason

Many can run RW with lower end machines, if you post exactly what you have I'm sure they'll all rush to pass on their tips etc.

You won't be able to run Railworks 2 at all now, as Steam will automatically update your game to RW3 on installation. However running RW3 in the so called "Legacy Mode" is no more demanding than RW2
