Running Round.

Post by GaryL »

Guys,

How do you run round your train (the player train that is) in Scenario Editor (take the locomotive from one end of the train to the other)? When I'm trying it I don't know how to tell the dispatcher that I want the loco tied off and put on the other end. Instead, it thinks the whole train wants to go in the path that I've just created for the run round.

Thanks for any help.

You will probably need to have a look at the Drop Off & Couple to Front/Rear instructions.

I have used the drop off instruction and typed in the loco number for it to be detached but it still thinks the whole train wants to move with it. Am I doing that right? I'm viewing this in preview mode in Scenario Editor. Will these things happen in preview mode in the editor or should it perform the same in preview as it does 'in game'? If it's doing what it's doing in the preview mode, I'd imagine it'll do that in the game as that's what the dispatcher thinks I want to do. Argggghhhh!

Oh, I also used the 'add to rear' instruction to get the loco back on the other end of the train, again typed in the loco number but I still need to get the loco detached first!

Any further assistance is greatly received.

You drop stock off, and couple to ... you need to input the stock, not the loco numbers. The manual shows the easier ways of assigning stock rather than typing all the numbers in (..\railworks\Manuals\EN\RW Timetable View Manual_Web.pdf)
