Moving off slow - not right?

Hello,

So I recently brought RailWorks 3 Train Simulator 2012 and Portsmouth Direct Line add-on.

I drove Class 450 and I found that when I increase throttle to 25% from 0 mph, it move slow, to 1 mph in few seconds and took little long to reach 80 mph (between 5-10 minutes). To make this worse, when I am climbing uphill, with 100% throttle applied, speed gone down very slowly.

I don't think this is correct way in simulator and it is not realist, I tried searching for solution but I can't find any.

Any help would be great, please.

Thanks.

EDITED: This applied same to other train included in the Portsmouth Direct line package.

I believe the 450 is awaiting an update. The release of RW3 changed the physics somewhat and made it slower.

Does the 455 also suffer from the lack in power? I believe there was a post some place that explained how to get the power levels right on the 450, cant seem to find that post. I did require some modifying to the defaults though....

Sorry for late post, was away celebrating Christmas!

455 did suffer some lack of power as well not exactly same as 450.

Okay I shall await update, will it be automatically install or do I have to download & install manually?

Thanks.

I have the Portsmouth Direct DLC and the 455 and 421 addons too.

The 455 will easily reach 80mph on the one BR scenario (only one I can run - that's in another thread).

Not driven the 450 much, but it does seem a little underpowered - an 8 car set struggled to top 60mph!

Hope an update to fix this problem comes out soon.

Merry Christmas! :D

Providing you have Steam online, it will update automatically.
