I hope somebody can give me a simple answer to my apparent problem. I have been tinkering about trying to build my own route and was experimenting with various functions to try and better understand them. In the time table view the tutorials seem to indicate that you have a choice such as :- that after placing a loco and adding a driver you then can choose if it is to be an AI train or a player train. This I understood and can see the relevant check box to select the option, HOWEVER, in my scenario it only seems to allow AI trains as the select box is 'greyed out' (i.e. non selectable). I am not sure if it is me doing something basically wrong or what? Can someone please enlighten me?
Thanks in anticipation

Re: Problem with AI / Player trains
Let me guess: you made a Free Roam scenario. In that, all trains are player driven so the box is greyed out.
To give the player instructions and to enable AI trains, you need to make either a Standard or Timetabled scenario.

The key to knowledge is not to rely on others to teach you it.

Hey, Thanks for the swift response. I am not in RW right now, but what you have suggested is quite possibly the issue - I don't recall consciously selecting a standard / timetabled scenario, but I have been setting instructions to some locos for try things and test my understanding, and they have worked. Is that possible in a free roam scenario?
