Not planning on upgrading my monitor yet (spent all my £s now!) so I'll be putting up with a fairly old 19' plasma thingy. In a couple of months I'll get a 22' LED monitor (probably £150-£200ish) and we'll be rolling!

One question - how well does RW2 cope with widescreen?

Hi Seb

There is a very wide range of monitor resolutions available including lots of widescreen sizes and some really massive resolutions that only the very rich could use. The full list is shown under the settings tab on the RailWorks launcher screen.

Hi

The latter sounds like Rail Simulator which you do not want.

You are looking for RailWorks or RailWorks 2 Train Simulator (not to be confused with Microsoft Train Simulator :D), probably in black boxes but there may be worldwide variants.

Although Railworks 2 has an FGW HST on it as well. :D

You want one of these two.

With either one, they will automatically just update to the newest version of RW2. Incidentally, you may well have seen RW2 in DVD form for £13.99, it's actually £13.67 from Amazon at the moment.

But you DO NOT want this one.

Well, almost there!

New home, new (rather awesome) PC, new Sky broadband. Assuming internet is activated, tonight I'll be clicking the 'install' button and hopefully barrelling off down the GWML out of Paddington!

Many thanks for past advice,

Seb
