Hi

I can understand your confusion. These assets were made a long time ago for Rail Simulator and are not in the usual format for installation in Rail Simulator or RailWorks via the package manager. What you have to do is open up the folder and extract the folder (procedural) and place it on your desktop. Inside this folder are the two files you are going to place directly in the program folders. The instructions are for Rail Simulator but for RailWorks you will find the folders in this location -

c:\program files\steam\steamapps\common\railworks\assets\kuju\railsimulator\scenery\procedural\

This is assuming you have installed RailWorks in your drive c.

In RailWorks you will find the delete Blueprint cache button under the Tools & Docs tab on the launcher screen, You would usually clear this cache after installing anything new. The program takes longer to load the first time after clearing the cache as the program re-builds its 'notes'.

Although not a step by step set of instructions, I hope that will help.

Having done this recently i might be able to help, if you're unsure about extracting files and copy and pasting files it can be daunting, believe me i know.

As Acorncomputer said extract the Slant_Rail.zip file to your desktop, by right clicking on Slant_Rail.zip file, left click on extract files.., and in the extraction path and options window left click on desktop, and ok. There now should be a folder on your desktop called slant rail. Double left click on the folder, double left click on the procedural folder and there should be 5 gen_fence_Slant_ .... files and a textures folder, with 3 Gen_fence_Slant_ ... files there.

Now thw way i done it, there might be easier ways, is to open the railworks folder, by left click computer on the start menu, double left click OS (C:) , double left left click the folders all the way to Program files\steam\steamapps\common\railworks\Assets\Kuju\RailSimulator\scenery\Procedural folder, there should be a textures folder here and a good few files.

You now have 2 windows open, one with the gen_fence_Slant_ .... files and the railworks...Procedural folder as above, right click on the first gen_fence_Slant_ .... file, left click copy, move your mouse over the railworks .... Procedural folder window, right click anywhere beside the file list and left click paste. Repeat for the other files, including the 3 files in the textures folder, copy and paste them into the textures folder in the railworks..Procedural folder.

If all went well the files should now be in the railworks folder, close all windows, start railworks and clear the cache as Acorncomputer described.

I hope all this makes sense and if you are already familiar with copy and pasting files it will make it easier, i know it took me a while to get my head around all this extracting and copy and pasting.

This is very odd. You should have many files in there -

the program will not run without them.

Can you check the path again as shown in the top of the screenshot

HI

It is possible that you have lost some files. To check this out you need to log on to Steam and go to your library page. Right click in the middle and choose 'Properties' from the menu.

In the next box pick the Local Files tab and then Verify Integrity of Game Cache.

Now sit back and let Steam check your files against its Master Files. If there are any differences then it will repair your faulty files. It could take a little while to verify the cache so sit tight if nothing seems to be happening and wait for the flag to pop up in the bottom right hand corner of your screen saying that the files have been downloaded before logging off.

If you still have problems then it is likely to be something to do with non-Steam content you have added to RailWorks.
