Esc key borked?

Esc key borked?
Since... I think getting the 31, certainly the last couple of days, my Esc key doesn't bring up a menu ( actually doesn't seem to do anything ). Pause key still brings up the same window, but it's annoyingly far. Anyone ever experienced that? Esc is still listed in the key mappings.

Yers, it's just RW. Utterly bizarre.

In fact it was Photoshop running in the background, somehow trapping Esc in RW... that's even more bizarre.
