some reason earlier when creating a free roam scenario i was placing a train down then railworks deiced to randomly shut down with no error what so ever and i mean completely closed. so i tried to start it back up again got to the main menu selected the scenario i was working on earlier when it then was on the loading screen for ages then i went out me room and came back to find my computer restarted so i logged back on and said my cmp has recovered from a fatal error so i then tried railworks again it was on the loading screen for about 26 mins this time before it decided to randomly shut again without an error or anything. what is causing this?

also before it happend the first time trains didnt start to show up they were invisible but the sounds would play when placing them down

This sounds like a problem with your computer. I have an HP computer that re-starts itself whenever it wants and is completely useless for anything that requires reliability. It has been suggested to me that it is overheating but I am not particularly motivated to check it out.

This could be your problem.

If it's the PC that's randomly shutting itself down rather than just RW then it could well be that the inside of your PC needs a bit of a spring clean.

I had similar happen a couple of weeks ago when my graphics card fan wasn't spinning (embarrassingly just after I'd cleaned all the dust off it).

Might be worth a look if you're feeling confident with opening up your PC.

As Bob says, it could be just a build up of dust that has reached a point where it is affecting the computer.

i have just been checking my event logs and have found out its this that is showing

"Hanging application RailWorks.exe, version 2.0.0.1, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000."

then under system this appeared
"Error code 000000cb, parameter1 805a7285, parameter2 870b92e8, parameter3 86c2e8a8, parameter4 00000009.

wether thats helpfull i dont know?

Looks like a hardware problem with possibilities being:-

1. Dirt on video card/fans
2. Dirt in CPU heat sink fins blocking air flow
3. Power supply on its way out
4. Hard drive on its way out
5. A connector somewhere has come loose.

Back up as much as you can to a USB hard drive if you have one before anything else happens, then clean out as much as you can and see how it goes.

problem solved for now someone had told me to turn settings down and make the game windowed mode

i have a feeling my GFX card is broke :/

I have more of a feeling that your cooling fins and fans are caked up with dust.
