I am basically a new starter who is trying to start my own route. But I am confused with a message which appears on my sceen in world editor. I get a large square (yellow and black hatched border) with the words 'MISSING TEXTURE' in the centre. What I don't know is if this is a hardware fault with my computer (graphics card, etc), or, a problem with the Railworks software ? Has anyone else seen this issue and can they help / advise ?

No, this is not an usual problem, it can occur mostly on locomotives and buildings, whereby, the asset is made up of several textures and you are maybe missing one, or, two. However, I haven't heard of anything happening with a route before, you say this is your own, but, can you remember which route you used as a template before you set out creating your own layout, and have you checked to see if you have any missing textures from any content ??
I'm sure some of the route creators amongst us may have seen this phenomenen and can offer a more substantial resolution.

I have had this error quite recently after I reinstalled a route from the download files.
I used RW Tools to check the route and it found 2 missing textures. I made a note of the file names and the complete path of the missing files
I did a file search of my entire railworks assets folder for the missing files and found them both present but not in the correct folder. I just copied them to the correct folder and the route now works OK. Touching wood & fingers & toes crossed!

Many thanks guys for the responses - I am happier now that I am pretty sure that it's not my machine. I started to do this route last November (very much as a novice but unfortunately have been quite ill since). Can't remember how I started but I'm back on track now (pardon the pun) and with a bit of time I'll get it sorted now you've given me a direction to aim. May need some help again but thanks for now.
