0byte File Problem

Hi everyone
I am about to release another version of my route "Western Rail Corridor v.4". After i make the RWP I open it using 7-zip and in the Scenery folder i always find a 0byte file called "-000001-000005.bin.bak1" I know that because of this file its impossible to install the route. Now my question is how can i delete it? I cannot delete this file using 7-zip and i want to make a rwp so its easier to install for beginners.
Cheers
Lukas

Open the archive in 7zip, right click the file you don't want and select delete.

Hello Lukas,
This "-000001-000005.bin.bak1" is created from a scenery item I assume, can you do anything about this ??
You could of course leave it out of the pack altogether, and let the end-user download it separately.....
Just a thought.

Hi Steve,
That is a good idea indeed, I have tried that just now, I unticked that file which is cousing problems but unfortunately its in the pacage anyway! Very weird.

Hmmm, sounds like you might have to untick everything and then start again, a bit of a damn nuisance I admit, but, it might be the only way to get the zip pack all sorted out nicely with no problems....

It is good manners to eliminate all unnecessary files from your package anyway, to save space on users computers - why don't you use Windows Explorer (or 7Zip for that matter) to delete it from the folder before you create the package?

RW_Tools has an option to delete all zero byte files from a selected folder in the Edit Assets screen.
If you select Content and click the Find Zero length files button it will list all such files in your Routes. Select them all and click Delete Selected and they are gone.
Of course you need to do that before you package the route
