Verify Integrity of Game Cache

If I run the "Verify Integrity of Game Cache" will it remove everything from the game that wasn't downloaded via Steam ?
I'm thinking of things like third party loco's, scenarios, sound packs etc.

No, it only checks the core files, so any addons will be safe.

However if you have modified any default sounds, it will replace them.
