Newcastle York Modern Possible Problem

Hello.
Just got the Newcastle York Modern route today, Have run a couple of scenarios (well part way) and in all the signals I have passed,I have not heard the A.W.S. sound once.
Is there still supposed to be a bell/ring sound before each green signal? Or is this a problem I am getting?

AWS should be absolutely fine, many videos have been posted of it working.

Have you by any chance reverted to simple operation?

Sorry Darren had it set on intermediate (just learning with steam locos) did not realize that it made a difference. Everything is o.k now thanks, and what a wonderful route.
