Hi there all!

For a MSTS railway line of the 1950'2 I need some English cars of the era, like old Morris, Austin, Fordson. I need these more than lorries, of which I already have some. Does anybody know where to get these, if they are made at all?

Regards from the Netherlands,

Not much available from that period. The shapes for that period tend to be pretty complex, and good photos and drawings scarce. I have been trying to attend some vintage car rallies to get some photos, but not got around to making models yet, sorry.

There are a few period vehicles that come with commercial routes like SVR and Cambrian Coast, notably the Morris 1000.

I have a bunch of photos - courtesy of saddletank - but time is an issue for me.

With his permission, I'm happy to share the photos... I need this type of car too!

I've just stumbled across the following website -

http://www.smcars.net/forum/index.php

There's quite a few blueprints and drawings of 1950s cars, and a lot more besides. Well worth a look in my opinion.

Anybody for a Morris Minor??

David Varley

I have to say that looks like a rather high poly vehicle just for scenery - 100-200 polys using 256x256 texture maps is the max I'm going to for vehicles.

The trouble with '50's vehicles is that they are very curvy. I find it hard to reproduce the curves in a flat - which is why a lot of my vehicles are high poly... I like the look fo it... :)

Looking good already... Never mind ppolys necessary, better have a thing of beauty I think.

I've had to go back to the drawing board on this, but I think I'm getting back on track again now ...

The poly count at the moment is 404.
