Actually, a good number of the colors come from official color formulas. You may, however, need to desaturate or do other silly things to the ACE before they're visually suitable for an MSTS environment.
Cheers!

Thanks for that, a useful guide none the less!

I have been using around 30 swatches atken from 10 subjects under varying lighing conditions, then averaging them, this gives me my colours I use.

I may upload my Swatches for others to use - so far I have the following:

BR Coach Crimson
BR Maroon (MK1)
BR Rail Blue
BR Warning Orange
BR Electric Blue
BR Elec window surrond (Off) White)
BR Diesel Dk Green
Intercity Red, Grey, Exec grey, and bodyside Gunmetal grey
Roof Greys
Blacks that look good in the sim :)

If these are appealing to anyone then Let me know and I will post them after I do the Elec Pack

Alternatively I have them all in Swatch form so if you drop me an email I can send you what you need.
