Well I finally got round to finishing the 6th part of the former Glasgow system for the South West. This was quite a widespread area as it didn't just include the southwestern suburbs but Thornliebank-Barrhead-Paisley area-Johnston-Kilbarchan-Renfrew, etc. I have now put up a South West page and slidsehow with another 40 odd pictures which added to the 130 from West-City centre-North-East-South East, gives over 170 all told.

Now I am into the 7th and final part in the "South". Have already completed Gorbals/Oatlands as the first stage in this 7th and last area and gradually work on the lines south to Clarkston, Eastwood, etc. The area around Langside, Mount Florida, Cathcart is a bit fiddly and it's funny that having come so far I am getting weary! Some places have changed so much since the tram days even some streets vanish. On recounting the number of boards I found that it had reached over 230 which is more than I had in fact realised. Might not be pristine for a first route attempt but it has been a massive project as I have indicated and is a living history of the most extensive tramway outside London. Walking everywhere taking notes has been a re-discovery of places I haven't been in for 30 years (and changes!) and others I have never been in. Been good for my intermittent health via the exercise although odd times I overdid it. Twice I discoverd having overlooked my accurate line map that I had put a tramline round the wrong block so indstead of leaving it ripped it out and did it all over again! Such has been my great love of the Glasgow Trams I even delayed a meal with an attractive female firend to get a particular bit done!
