No need to apologise. It was a good idea you had.

Just to let you know, i'm now aceing up all the viewports so i'll be starting the original 1973 stock cab very shortly. It will be alot easier i hope because the donkey work has been done and there are alot less buttons, knobs and lights although the CTB and reverser bodies will have to be remodelled.

Recent offside cab rendition, courtesy of Darren. Some minor tweaks left, such as "illuminating" a few CDU lights, else it's done. Amazing detail, as we have come to expect of him.

Richard has also finshed the train units and we will have 3 consists in the kit with different destinations (like the D78) - Heathrow, Cockfosters and Rayners Lane. We also have a new 'real life' operator in the cab, eh Doc?
Thanks are also due to Doc for providing us with more detailed pictures and some in-cab audio recording which I'll be putting into the trains sound files.

This train looks and drives beautifully, and I think you LUL fans will be pleased. Won't be long now...

Best, Jimi (on behalf of the team).

Will the cab be Anti-aliased, as some of the edges look a little rough, other than that its perfect.

Hi Nick,
Thats the one big drawback of using Gmax to do a cab is that you have to use a screenshot of the finished cab with all its unrefined edges. There is no full screen preview as far as i know. I wonder if i could export it to MSTS as a shape then do a screenshot in the route editor to see if that makes a difference. I'll give it a go but i'll have to ace up all my textures and re-apply them first.

Refurb cab is finished! Here's some in-sim shots at Acton Town Pfm 4 from a Heathrow-bound train...

Look closely and you'll see lots of accurate details. Toblerone display, PA light lit, Heat/Vent On light lit on CDU, J door key on the keyring, train fault log book leaning on the offside desk, etc.

Take a bow Darren! And many thanks to Doc for the detailed info and photos. Doc has also sent me a CD full of data, including in-cab sound recordings. You can therefore expect a special sound set for this train :D

Best to all, Jimi

Richard was busy over the weekend -- refurb body and associated details almost done.

Sorry about the blured destination in the pic caused by file type conversion and compression -- it looks like a perfect dot matrix in the sim. The refurb will also have multiple destination versions :)

Just a quick message to say this looks like a great train both refurbished and unrefurbished versions. Can't wait to try it out when it becomes available. Keep up the good work

PS any chance of The C69/77 surface stock to be one of the next trains to be modelled for MSTS?

Hows the the district line coming along?

Regards

Richard's been working overtime -- I received the final refurb train parts today. 3 destination versions, LODs, etc. Here's a few in-sim views of an EB service ex Rayners Lane. We hope the T/Op recognizes himself

Sounds and final passenger view yet to be finished, also the cab for the pre-refurb version, so it will be a while yet -- but we hope you find the progress pics worth seeing.
