Here's a few progress shots. All track laid from Earl's Court west to Ealing Common. Now working back east adding stations and other scenery.
Leaving Ealing Broadway
Eastbound train at Ealing Common
Heading out from Ealing Common past the depot towards Acton Town
Approaching Ealing Common westbound at night

Fantastic. Excellent attention to details. No mistaking which line you are on!

Hi
It looks superb! Just a couple of questions; are you going to use Ian Jenkin's new trees?, they'd really look at home on this route, and also, have you got any plans to do the actual underground parts of the line?
Thanks for any reply,
Chris

Ian does excellent work! I'm currently using his platform and cable run textures and hope to get his permission to use them in the final version. I'll certainly take a look at the trees. I've been searching the UK scenery for appropriate housing and vegetation and have been most successful.
Regarding the extent of the route... Right now I'm planning on V1.0 being the line from Earl's Court to "points west" (i.e. Olympia, Richmond, Wimbo, Ealing/Acton). There's a small amount of SSL track, but most is surface. It will be fully signaled per LUL standards and signal types (except speed-sensing signals). There will also be appropriate sections of adjacent or related lines (e.g. Picc from Baron's Court pipe west to Northfields and Nth Ealing, Central from EBD to West Acton). I might also include the DL from ECT to High Street and Edgeware Road in V1, time permitting. V1.X will be bug fixes and minor tweaks. V2 will add ECT east to Upminster (with the appropriate sub-surface sections), completing the whole line. All depots will also be modeled (Acton, Acton Works, Lillie Bridge, Upminster, etc.).
I don't currently have an estimated date for a V1 Beta, although realistically it's at least 2-3 months away. I'm fortunate to have 2 expert collaborators who have been supplying detailed track plans, signaling diagrams, gradient charts, photos, video, etc. Given the quality and detail of the material, I'm focusing on as accurate a rendition as MSTS (and my skills) allow - commensurate with reasonable route files size and framerates. As such, it takes time to create -- all stations are being scratch-built to reflect their real-life versions, as are the various line-side objects that, without which, it just wouldn't look "right". From the kind comments received, it appears I'm on the right track.
BTW, I plan on releasing V2 of the CO/CP train (seen in the pics) very soon - Richard has tested and approved it

This version has improved physics including correct drag/friction (thanks to Joe Realmuto's calculator), realistic performance and detailed (and more accurate) ray-traced day and night cab views.
All we need now is a 38TS, C69, 73TS, D78, etc.
Thanks & regards, Jimi
