Geoff,

As much as I agree that losing Terry's work is a great loss, I highly doubt that you'll see any of Terry's steamers here, he withdrew them himself and unless his grants me permission to host them again they won't be back here, out of respect for his wishes.

Similarly, unless I am given permission to host reskins of the commercial add-ons they can't come back here either - if another hosting site wants to take their chances then they can feel free :)

If all parties are happy for their files to be here then of course they are most welcome - such as Mickoo's and Tim's excellent work. I'd much rather it was all back, but i'm not about to go against peoples wishes just so that we don't lose some of the great work that was available.

Thanks for the update Tim btw!

Matt.

Thank you for that clarifying that Tim.

Does this included the Blue and Grey Mark 1 coaches that came with the Class 50 download as they would compliment the EH2 stock?
They were Martin's models I think. I would like to see them as well as they are better than any currently on here. (Though the BG does need the doors flipping!).

I actually ran a consist the other night of the 85 and those Mk1s and it looked lovely!! :D

Nah, they are Michaels models, and Im awaiting a reply, as Tim said we have removed the sounds from the Class50 pack and repacked it ready to go, but I am just waiting on Michael to confirm that he is happy with the release of the stock.

As for Commercial reskins - there are a number that were packed and ready to go, mostly for the Southern Region pack, and I dont see any harm in them being released as they are useless without the original pack as the installer looks for it in order to copy over base files. Same goes for SVR and the other commerical stuff really.

As for Terrys stuff, thats a no go for sure, I asked him only about a week or two ago and its a No No - and I for one respect his wishes ;)

Regards

P.S - If I had checked my emails first I would have seen that Michael has granted permission for the B&G Mk1s, so the pack will be as before but without the BATS sounds, I have aliased to the default Kuju Class 50 sounds.

Martin, do you know if it's possible to release the Mk1s on their own as a pack?

They are my Mk1s and were free with Tims class 50 so l have no objection to them being free here and as a seperate upload either, however......BG doors, enough on the doors ok, there free thats the end of it, sorry there wrong but for free l dont have any obligation to alter, l do believe l did alter them on some commercial stock somewhere after dribbles of hate mail, but l dont know which ones are right or wrong, nor do l have the time to dig them all out again and cross check, there free, repaint as you wish, alter as you wish, enjoy as you want.....in short dont look a gift horse in the mouth for the sake of a few door hinges ok :). Nial this is not a pop at you, honest !, its generic I assure you.

I'll talk to Martin and perhaps upload as a seperate under the FBD banner tonight or tomorrow.

Reskins, well Longbow has a point, if previous reskins were allowed and done then they should be made available again, problem is that means more work for us to sort out and after whats just happened, we're not too happy at that in some respects. With respect we had it sussed, we had installers, a site and a tight little set up, all upturned by one individual, it'll be a while before some even consider reskins.

For me as l said in the rolling stock forum, no more reskins are permitted for my payware stock, thats basically all the LNER locos and the Westerns, l have no objection to past stuff, it can be hosted and posted where ever it is sorted out too, some is already on TS.com, if there there then they could equally be here, here / there / where ever makes no odds now to be brutally honest and if something can be thrashed out for there inclusion here l'm very happy for that, but new stuff, sorry, its a burden l'm not prepared to work with, fight through, sort legalities, ownership or any other hurdle the men in grey can throw at me....for the immediate future, l'd rather sort the past before having to tackle the now and future.

Terrys stock, forget it chaps, as Martin said, we communicated a few weeks back and it was still a polite no, Terry has his reasons and even after all this time l respect that, right or wrong that is his request and we....all who remain will endeavour to up hold that.

As an aside from the permissions thing - Terry is ok isn't he? Last I heard was that he might be in ill health :-?

wow, you dont visit this site for a month and look what happens?! Desperatly sad and i hope all the conflicts and issues, whatever they may be (after reading this thread i genuinly still have NO idea!) can be solved amicably. I bought a lot of BATS stuff, and a lot of that outlay was down to the fantastic customor support and the download library of different liveries....

Having read the issues regarding the reskins i seem to be missing a trick. Surely if BATs has stopped trading then the content provided on a freeware basis by them, the reskins, are subject to no legal ramifications or constraints imposed by the company, a company who no longer exists? There is no company to stop us posting and providing the reskins as we so wish, Its clear that the demand is there, they are esential to the appeal of the products we bought and as such should still be provided in my opinion.

As a customer, in terms of reskins, if x doesn't want his reskins posted, or y says you cant post that, if this is the issue at hand here (and i have no idea if it is or not, i cant seem to detangle one branch of this thread from the other) then i think they should still be provided for the paying customer whether they want there work posted or not.... If its been part of a bats product, or a derivative of (as reskins are) then i think they have a duty to those who ultimatly paid for their work.

I dont see the legal implications of posting the reskins and feel, as an esential part of the appeal of their products they should be provided to those who bought the products.

Please take these comments as non-inflamotory, i post these with a general ignorance of what the hell has led upto this or imploaded within the team, and simply dont understand why reskins are such an issue?

Hi
I for one have many bats locos and stock and think the Western diesel is the best detailed one available and would be a shame to see no more being produced and did for many months ask why D1062 Western Courier was,nt added as she is the mother of all preserved diesels. Not to say i understand and go along with what ever is best, just a shame that these will go like most of her sisters to swindon.
