Tonight, and very occasionally on other nights, when ive made a post and hit submit the screen sits with the little green bar at the bottom stalled at 2 or 3 bars and never completes. However, if i exit IE and then go back and check, my post is there.
Any thoughts about why this might be? Is there a server issue or is it more likely something at this end which is playing up?

I have had that a few times, don't know what causes it though!Lad491 wrote:Tonight, and very occasionally on other nights, when ive made a post and hit submit the screen sits with the little green bar at the bottom stalled at 2 or 3 bars and never completes. Had that as well earlier on, the server must have fallen asleep!Beetlejuice wrote:I couldn't get on here for ages tonight. Some error screen like Internet explorer can not find this page nor UKTS.
Not had that though!Beetlejuice wrote:Also Sometimes comes up with no post mode specified when I do a quick post.

Occasionally Apache and PHP gets their joint knickers in a knot and the whole thing grinds to a halt - and quite often when it happens once it happens a couple more times. I've no idea what actually causes it, whether there's a rogue script somewhere or something, but it just hangs and refuses to take more connections - it's not using any CPU or anything (which would be much easier to diagnose, because there'd be something using it all
), the machine is idle.
Apologies for the down time.
Matt.
