3 week wait for file approval

Post by hertford »

Hi there, my files, 15903, 15905, and 15920 are still not approved. I'd please like to know what's taking so long for them to be approved, it's been 3 weeks since I submitted them, could it be a traffic jam?

Were they in zip or exe format?

If not they will have been rejected. Check your emails.

Cheers

It might be a good idea to contact Matt about this, I am sure he will be able to tell you what the problem is.

First of all, if a file is unsuitable for whatever reason: Wrong Format, fails on download etc then an email is sent to the uploader. If your email address in your Account details is no longer valid then the email sent to that address will be lost and you will never hear from us. Please check that the email address in your account is a valid address.

The reason they are still awaiting approval is that none of them have an associated picture. Grab a screenshot of the player loco in the activity and upload it in gif or jpg format, then the files stand a better chance of approval.

I uploaded an associate picture of them, in .jpg format.
The files I have are in .zip format. I'll try again after my Math exam in an hour. It last two hours...

I tried reuploading the image, but for some reason it doesn't want to work, maybe you could add it Matt?

Ok, so I uploaded a picture, and then here is what's displayed after that...

((
Either a file wasn't supplied, or it failed to upload.
The picture was received and saved.
Name: Central Trains_153 In Green
Description:
This is the Central Trains Class 153 in Central Green, reuploaded due to an error in the installation. I have now fixed this error, and Richard has given me permission to reupload it for him. The .s and .sd files were misnamed, and the .eng file was missing from the train's folder. I have now corrected these 3 errors.

Happy downloading!

Class: UK class 153 (Super Bubble)

Sorry for double posting...

The looks as if the upload has been correctly updated with a graphic.

Hertford,

Did you check and confirm your email address as recommended. Your three files have been deleted as no contact with uploader.

Can only recommend again that you check your email address is correct, then re upload the files complete this time.

The 2 files that I deleted were done by me, the other file is still there.
I uploaded the file, Picture, and put in the details as above, but the picture just shows a red x, and not a Central Class 153. What could the problem be? I'd like to sort it out because in about 2 weeks time I will have activities for Great Eastern to upload...

Hertford

I've uploaded my picture, file and put all the necessary details in, but the picture refuses to show up, it's just the old red x again.

No idea what could be causing that problem. I would not expect a reply until at least Monday since the UKTSlive show is at Glasgow this weekend.

Kindest regards

Hi
There doesn't actually seem to have been any new files all week.
I was/am certainly looking forward to these

The reason there have been no new files this week, is because Matt is not too well at the moment.

As Glyn has suggested, a few busy weeks has taken its toll on some of the UKTS team.

Laurie cancelled attendance at Glasgow.

Christine was not very well at all over the Glasgow show weekend.

Pete has also not been 100%....but bravely soldiered on doing more than his fair share!

And now Matt's not feeling too good.

Let's all wish them a full and speedy recovery....

Absolutely........... always said the UKTS live shows were stressful.
Jetting to Glasgow and back over a weekend, I wouldn't want to do it.
I take it there's now no UKTS present at tomorrows Train Sim Convention.......they'll be missed by many.

We're here, heading off to the show in about 30 minutes to start getting set up.

I also should have another 16 or so files approved in the next few minutes.

It's been a mad three or four weeks but hopefully that's all done with now, February is always crazy doing shows at opposite ends of the country!

Matt.
