I know it seems stress, extra work and all that at the time, but looking back makes me think that (I hope!) moderating this place changed me for the better!

Even at my age I found it a growing experience and also very grateful for the opportunity.

Down side is that you cease to be 'one of the lads' and members treat you differently as you can win any argument but I'd not change a thing.

On balance it's extememly rewarding and like most things, you get out of it that which you put in and members tend to remember and appreciate the effort if you're seen to be fair.

Very wise and true words John.

I find being a mod a very rewarding job, very difficult at times, but still rewarding none the less.
