I joined UKTrainSim back in July 2006. Today my brother joined using the same email address as me then said inappropriate things. If he is banned will my account be mistaken for a second one made by him so I will be suspended for no reason?

P.S. My brother called himself "IrishEnterprise".

The moderators will consider all the facts before proceeding. At this stage your brother needs to reply to the PM he has been sent within the next 47 hours. The moderators will continue discussions in any case.

Regardless ofthe merits or otherwise of the individual case and member (of which I know little of either and would prefer not to at this stage) as I understand it, disciplinary actions are taken against a specific username; any action the moderators take will be against a specific user login, not the email address they use to contact him.

Can you register another account with a duplicate email address ?

I realise that the forum here is not a default phpbb forum, but you can't add a new account with an existing email address.

(So something smells a bit)

That's modifiable in the phpBB settings IIRC.
