The host are back investigating it again, my own download speeds earlier were pretty awful too, the most four concurrent connections could manage was 400k on my 10mb link.

Looks like cable is back to being generally good though at least.

EDIT: I'm getting between 117 and 118kb/s.

Can people posting tracert displays also state what download speeds they are currently getting please ? I am getting similar figures for the USA hops but my 4MB/s broadband connection is still delivering about 75% of the maximum speed and I can see from the router that the wireless laptop downstairs is using bandwidth also so it does look OK from here.

Can you provide a tracert then please Jon ? That does seem very low to me. I just checked again and I get over 250 KB/sec which is > 50% of my line speed. It is peaking at 387 KB/sec which is closer to 85% of line speed even allowing for the other downloads taking place on our home network.
