Wow, on my 10Mb/s connection i'm getting just 60KB/s - can anyone else confirm the same problem before I go raise hell with EV1 - or should I be raising hell with NTL (my ISP)?

Looking at the servers current bandwidth utilisation, it ain't idle, it's doing about 2.5mb/s outbound - which would suggest it's me with the problem...

About 41kb/s for the xtracks file

about 500kb/s for the same file from Bernards site.

I've just provided all your traceroutes to the host, plus i've run backtraces from the servers to your machines and provided those too - looks to me like it's choosing a bizarre route to get data back to you and there are big delays on it.

I'm only getting a max of about 130k/s now if i'm lucky.

I'll keep you all updated.

Just downloaded the xtracks file @ 350kb/s.

And the forum's not been that slow for me tonight.

And a tracert maxes out at 129ms to get to UKTS.

Ok there is apparently a problem with one of the backbones (cogent) - they have engineers onsite and are hoping for a resolution some time in the wee hours.

Forums seem fine this morning so far (07:50) with pretty rapid page switching again now. I did a download of Dorset Coast Pt1 as a test and got 463KB/s which is about what i'd expect for my 4mb link.
