Is there a forum for the CD ordering page? as I have tried the CD's from Blackpool to Scotland, and when i was Looking at the Deltic collection. I thought to myself. when is UKTrainsim going to produce a DMU/EMU collection? as i have a passion for the old Diesel Multiple, and the Electrical under wire stock, the Brighton Belle and the old Pullman of the 1960's.

It doesn't quite work like that! Matt and Pete do not have a plan or whatever to release CDs.
What happens is that route builders, etc decide they would like whatever it is they have produced made available on CD...and submit it for release. Matt and Pete will then (in the time they have available) go through the process of checking the integrity of what has been supplied...which includes a lot of testing of routes and in particular, activities, and then assemble everything onto a CD, create a self-installer (If not already done), cut and label the CDs and publish.
So...to get a CD pack of DMU/EMUs, someone will have to pull all the available models together into a collection....and submit it for release.

I believe that was an 'If you want it you get the permissions for it and it shall be done' (or there abouts)

It's not really complicated, its just long winded to get the permission of everybody to include their stock on CD. You then have to ensure that every item of stock you have has the sounds and cabview to work it as well.
then create an installer to actually do all the leg work of installing the stock with sounds and cab views.
Then once you done all that, you just got to burn it to cd and submit it for release, at which point Matt (or some other trusted beta testers) will be sent it to install, check it all works as intended and so on, then it goes onto the CD Ordering page.

Not even that complicated really, if someone supplies us with just the trains and route folders, plus any bits and bobs needed, we'll just run our own install builders over it - it's all scripted so once we put it all in the right place the installer exe's are only moments away
Matt.
