I wonder what we'll be downloading 10 million files from now, how and at what speed?

Regards, Stu.

Thanks very much - but of course the credit is to the authors who made the files that got downloaded, over 8,000 different files, extremely impressive in my books!

Off topic......The originator of the Worthing "Tramocars" in 1924, which were probably the first Minibuses anywhere, was a guy called Bill Gates........we usually tell visitors "No, not the Bill Gates you know, or like Windows they'd have crashed at least three times a day"............

Back on topic.......Matt you obviously have a lot of stats to hand re: the site, and for the anoraks amongst us, you might like sometime to play with making them more visible, a summary page somewhere. Downloads this week/month/year, etc. Peak times graph, etc?

Additionally, within my own Uploads section, I'd love to know the download "rate" of my models, for example, when last downloaded, summary of number downloaded in monthly totals, etc.

PS.......and it's megarichnerd@microsoft.com, I think you'll find.....

Hi Dave,

Yup all those stats are available - essentially the system has a complete record, since day one, of every file downloaded and when, the aim was to produce all those detailed graphs (a bit like Train Sim Files started to do) - but I just haven't had the time to get to it.

Definitely on the cards tho ;)

LOL

Ironically i'm setting up a new site at the moment - not train sim related, but sim related of another kind - similar sort of idea to UKTS (and premium subs will be valid over there too) - and i'm going to develop the new infrastructure for that site and then migrate UKTS in to it.

So the new UKTS might actually happen sooner rather than later since I want that other site on yesterday :)
