AtomIC Album FTP uploads

Post by martinhodgson »

for some reason I canot upload to the AtomIC album. I am uploading to 198.65.117.54, and the uploader is connecting, but when I attempt to transfer files they just stick on 0% transferred. Is this a problem with the album, or my FTP service? I'm using CuteFTP currently.

Hmm, it is working, but it seems to be taking a while to authorise each photo before performing the actual upload :-?

But it's working, thats the main thing!

bizarre, it uploaded mine instantly. Maybe your ISP is running an FTP Transproxy.

That sounds like something from 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show'

The other odd thing is that it has duplicated several - I think it must have been uploading without displaying on the progress bar, as I have my full set in the feault folder, and a reduced set in the folder I wanted to put the pictures in - I just can't work out why the photos have gone where they have, as they aren't in any logical order!

ftp to brunel2.atomic-systems.com use your atomic username and password.

(there's probably a more sensible address but I can't remember it offhand).

I used the IP provided when you first set it up.

Perhaps the instructions could be added in the album itself? It's certainly a useful feature.

I agree, I stopped using the Album because I upload directly to my own web server using the Windows 'Send To' Feature. If I can access Album through FTB I see no reason why I can't go back to it though :D

By the way if anyone wants to know how to set up the 'Send To' feature let me know and I will post it here

I'm having problems displaying photos from my AtomIC Photo Album on the forums! The problem is they wont show in the forum and are just showing the text I've typed in to show the pics!

Dam motorists getting in the way!

[album 143377 Fire Engine Crash.JPG]
Above is how I have written in the filename for the picture I want to show (in MSTS Ireland/Ammonia Transfer Rescue Activity Feedback). As you can see it just displays the text rather than picture! Am I doing something wrong?

Any ideas NeutronIC?

Thanks in advance.

Problem is because of the space in the file name....

Either replace the space with %20 or don't put spaces is your file names if its for the internet, it gets very confused in general.

I too was aware of that but assumed due to the nature of the image he was showing it due to an error. (The crossing gates are closed but still the Fire Engine passed through.

Indeed, it isn't actually a crash, just the way I've named the picture, it is a train at a set of gates which are open for the train, but the traffic continues to pass through the gates! Hence the caption "Dam motorists getting in the way"!
