Is it just me or is this dicussion just going round and round now? Matts decided what he's going to do, most of the commercial groups seem happy enough (although not entirely), but as this thread goes on now, the discussion has just turned negative, with people saying their not going to post, or does this mean this, or does that mean that, all of which seem pretty much wrong and pointless.

Agreed, whatever may have been the cause of the thread being needed, I think generally everyone supports (or realises why it needs to be done) the decision Matt has made.
The 14 pages following the explaination just proved why its the right choice !
Its become clear that things can't stay as they are, and for one reason or another the commercial people should keep thier distance, or at least stop imposing on UKTS. And commercial comments should be clearly marked as such as Mod's comments will be.
I think focus should now turn to stopping people posting rubbish and trying to fight each other at every turn, something that I consider to be as much a threat to UKTS forums as anything else.
This is something that I think the Mod's do need to take a more active role in, its all very well someone answering a question with a prompt to the UKTS search, but that IS a valid answer unless we are going to spoon people who can't be bothered to even help themselves find the answer. So a bit of 'support' from the site in our efforts to attempt to improve the standards of posters would be nice.

Lets move on and fix what we can. This needs everyone to stand back and maybe be a little less confrontational and accept others opinions with some grace.

And on that note I think we will close this thread and give Matt some space to implement the necessary changes.
