Yes, and the hole that the vandal used has been plugged.

Hi Matt

Congratulations to you and your Moderators for the excellent service you all provide and to you Matt in particular for getting the site up and running again after the disgusting action of the Hacker.

Well Done

Kindest Regards

Mike

Well done Matt. I was feeling quite isolated without access to the site.

Indeed - thanks for bringing it back! You kept to the estimated 24 hour slot very well!

Just one quick query Matt, which I guess quite a few users need re-assurance on. Is it possible this attack could have compromised any credit card details held on the servers? I don't think I've ever used mine directly or if I have it was a while ago and probably expired but it is perhaps a point that needs to be clarified.

Also a thankyou to the hacker :P ...without who, the "hole" that Matt reffered to would still be open.

Well done to all the people that worked on it.

The hacker made threats as part of the ongoing fued with MT and this site and I told him to do his worst but it would rebound on him.

The ISP address shone out like a beacon and you only have to press printsreen to secure it.

Had a feeling that most members would rally around the site.

When you read and watch posts day after day, you realise those who value the site and those who don't. Those that sometimes caught the eye of the moderators still clearly value the site.

All those involved in the fued that caused this will feel the scorn of the good members of this site.

I admire, I think that's the right word  , Matt's dogged determination to continue. These sort of antics would've led most of us to throw the towel in a long while ago. There's far easier ways of making money. OK, I think he's bonkers but he's still going strong and that's all that matters :)

For the rest of us, it's business as usual :)
