Hi Folks

Steve took the database down for a bit of urgent maintenance and unfortunately it decided to play hard-ball. It took longer than expected and then when it came up the download server did its usual bunk. Thankfully the FTP server isn't far off and that doesn't have this problem :)

Apologies for the lack of downloads, but as far as I am aware it's all back up and running fine now?

Please do feel free to email me, matt@uktrainsim.com, and make sure you always put a very suitable subject line - I get about 500 spam per day and it's really easy to accidentally delete something that is not clearly identified :)

Matt.

I downloaded a couple of things lunchtime and it was fine. They were Southern items and still fine

And I don't use an FTP cos I still don't know what it is :D

FTP stands for File Trasfer Protocol, an easy way to transfer files to other people. Not as easy as Kazaa http://www.kazaa.com/, don't use it if you havn't got a antivirus or firewall get load of virused files

Thanks for that but I was being a bit cheeky as Martin pointed out.

Don't know how it all works though. Never bothered to find out.
