Hi Folks

Steve took the database down for a bit of urgent maintenance and unfortunately it decided to play hard-ball. It took longer than expected and then when it came up the download server did its usual bunk. Thankfully the FTP server isn't far off and that doesn't have this problem

Apologies for the lack of downloads, but as far as I am aware it's all back up and running fine now?

Please do feel free to email me, matt@uktrainsim.com, and make sure you always put a very suitable subject line - I get about 500 spam per day and it's really easy to accidentally delete something that is not clearly identified

I downloaded a couple of things lunchtime and it was fine. They were Southern items and still fine

And I don't use an FTP cos I still don't know what it is

FTP stands for File Trasfer Protocol, an easy way to transfer files to other people. Not as easy as Kazaa http://www.kazaa.com/, don't use it if you havn't got a antivirus or firewall get load of virused files

Thanks for that but I was being a bit cheeky as Martin pointed out.

Don't know how it all works though. Never bothered to find out.
