Post by lateagain »

but some pages on Screenshots seem to be optimized for some huge screen resolution now. See "Class 306 coming soon" which seems to be optimized for a staggering 1280 x 1024!!!
Thanks for the tips on Screen colours but nobody picked up this bit. Depending which page you click on there seems to be some set to enormous resolutions, requiring endless L-R scrolling to read each line.

Thats just the size the uploader uses compared to the resolution of your monitor, nothing can be done about it

Ive said numerous times that for the benefit of all screenshots should be keep to a general size of 800x600. or if bigger is wanted, to use the perfectly functioning thumbnail link facility which the atomic album creates automatically with every uplaoded picture.

Sadly ive always been beaten down for being to picky :(

How do you utilise the thumbnails then?

Thanks Martin.

I know little about web publishing. I take it that the forum page defaults to the largest post on any given page. Being a GOG myself, I went back to the example thread in question and noticed that the initial post was large and the next two pages in the same format. The third page fits nicely into my 1024x768 screen as it has nothing posted in a larger resolution? Have I got that right?

I recomend all fellow GOGs to catch the recent BBC Grumpy Old Men series (when it's repeated) for the best laugh in years!
