Query failed [SELECT count(*) AS result FROM files WHERE approved=1] - Lost connection to MySQL server during query
This is what I got from Download Library a minute ago.
Similar type in Newest files and Library search.
As per my previous mails it hasn't changed since yesterday.
Tried Ctrl F5 etc..it's a nightmare for us and even more so for you!!!
We have faith and patience
....good luck

Can you PM me one of the saved shortcuts you are using - remember that the 'CUTHERE' bit is a session ID that will stop working about 30 minutes after you saved the shortcut and stop using the site rendering the URL useless.
So it's safe to say that you're getting a lot of these bloody lost connection errors?
As far as I can tell, it's a known fault with PHP and MySQL that the authors have been told about but since they can't reproduce it they refuse to acknowledge its existence (we're not the only ones suffering, there seem to be quite a few).
Still trying to come up with some workarounds, so bear with us, thanks for your patience.
Matt.

If anyone is receiving these errors and is on Windows XP and doesn't mind me 'remote assisting' please contact me on MSN Messenger using finndel at msn.com. Make sure you have a few hours spare when you contact me because I will want to use your machine as a test
I am NOT seeing any errors here - just like IKB... But I am not saying they're not there because clearly they are... But unless I can reliably see them, I can't make any sensible adjustments anywhere (to code or config) because I just don't know...
So please, if you're seeing these errors regularly, MSN me, and lets get together on your desktop (so to speak
) so I can get this bitch working properly.

I have just discovered that my code that was in place around January for ensuring that if the connection was dropped, the query was retried, was gone.
Overwritten.
No idea who by, or why, or how. Nonetheless I have restored from a backup and so I hope that the connection lost errors will disappear...
Let me know if they dont

I am on modem connect, one,two or three CTRL&5s does work in the end. but it is very irritating as one navigates from page to page such as home to personal file or downloadsa or even from initial login to premium home page.NeutronIC wrote:Is this happening on every request? does a ctrl-f5 bring it up ok (perhaps need a couple?) - are you all using modems ? any broadband users seeing this ?

Use http://www.uktrainsim.com:6622/ in that case - you're being proxied and your proxy server is not refreshing properly.
