Why can't I download files?. I believe my account is up to date. If it isn't, I haven't been informed as I was told I would.

File Download Error

It was not possible to download your file, the reason returned by the server was:

Each user is allowed up to 7680 Kilobytes per day.
You have only got 3201 Kilobytes remaining today and this is not sufficient for the file you have selected to download.

Download Limits are reset at EIGHT PM (20:00) UK TIME, they generally last until around 23:00 UK time so please try again within those times.

Note: Premium Account Holders have no download limits, click H E R E to become a Premium Account Holder

This is what I am getting and I haven't downloaded any files today or yesterday Help

Your account expired on 13th February...

The system does send a mail message to everyone who is about to expire, a week before you actually expire, and then another one when it has actually expired you. However, I notice you have a Hotmail email address and for some reason sometimes they just dump mail from us... I would recommend against using a Hotmail account or a LineOne account for your private email address.

Regards,
Steve

If you check the 'Junk' folder in your hotmail account, you will probably find the e-mails in there.

Hi FunkyPerson,
You too have expired - 9th Feb. Please visit http://www.atomic-systems.com/common/updateuser.php to make sure your private email address is still valid...

I do know that the messages are trying to be sent because we see a couple hundred bounce messages every Friday morning :-) I suspect yours was one of them.

I will try to add something to the updateuser screen so you all can see when you expire...

sorted....  just closed all the other browser windows and readded it in internet options, great stuff, another year of great downloads.

:D :D

Oh BTW... I can tell you why you get loads of bounced emails, you give people 2 boxes to enter a public email address and a private email address, I bet most people like me add a different private email, BUT the private email isn't listed in your profile so you can't change it, mine was my old claranet email which is dead now, best to have only one box to add one email.

The public and the private email are for DearDiary users, who can publish their public addresses on their diaries, though to be honest it hasn't worked nearly as well as we'd hoped and tends to serve to confuse people.

Updating your details through the forum is not a good idea - the two systems may well not talk properly - Matt would need to confirm or deny that nasty rumour :)

To be sure though, always use http://www.atomic-systems.com/common/updateuser.php as thats where the system will take the mailing address from.
