How do You install Northern Rail Routes?

Post by Fishcarver »

Matt & Co: All the best for the new year from your buddy across the pond!
I got my Llangollen and Northern Rail Routes CDs two days ago: amazingly fast service-many thanks.

One wee prob: there are no install instructions for NRR5.0. I am reluctant to simply try the old "Unzip to---Use folder names" because in my pain-filled personal experience, this occasionally does not create a route, but rather a rat ****, leaving orphaned files strewn all about the route folder, etc etc, you get the picture :o .( I just had to do a major recovery/reinstall for this very reason)

I am sure that the route is up to Gerald's usual high standards, but I will not try to install it without instructions. Please help!

"Llangollen" is a beautifully executed route in all respects. It reminds me of my first 00 model railway lo these many years ago( also GWR). Please pass on my kudos to Gordon (Gordon: if you read this: ye done good, lad!)

All the best to all of you!

Jim,

When I installed the Route, I just run the zipped route and then the Trains5 file, it all work's ok.

Thanks Jim. Glad you like it. Hope you like the new version ( Ruabon Barmouth) too.
