Blackpool Goes Bannanas!!!

Post by steamnut44 »

It was reported earlier today, that a strange new tram was spotted, at various locations along the Prommenade.
A spokesman for Blackpool Transport stated. "It hasn't got a trolley pole, it's definately not one of our's!" :o

He commented further to say. "All sorts of weird things have happened with this tramway, ever since someone called Vern Moorehouse, built a replica, for a thing called Train Sim. We even have a permanant Tram Sunday at Fleetwood and even Liverpool trams have been seen on odd occasions!"

"Ask Geoff Holt, he's always seen messing with our system, he's even had the Trotter's blowing the Illuminations, not to mention some stupid woman with glasses, driving one of OUR trams."

Dear spokesman for Blackpool Transport

The new tram is a refurbished GWR railcar - the first diesel 'train' I ever saw.
There is a case for rejoicing, rather than concern over this addition to your system as this vehicle will be able to run when your power fails through overload from illuminations, the rides at the permanent Tram Sunday etc.
Even more important is the fact that it will be able to run along the promenade when the sea exceeds its normal containment and you are unable to run electric trams because the power return through the track is not possible.
So give the man a lollipop!
(self appointed) spokesman for this post only
