Trust me, it is there! :D It's Glasgow Car 812, it was being run in on the day we went and was stalking us behind every tram we went on!!!

Chris,

I have a few screens done, but would appreciate your contribution should you have anything suitable.

A blackpool shot is still missing from the collection, if anyone has any to hand!

Cheers, Chris

Maybe Alan could send you a Blackpool photo from his Fotopic Collection. How about it Alan? But please make it Blackpool Balloon 700 :D :D :D

Any particular type of Blackpool car/view Chris, there are over 500 on http://www.blackpooltrams.com to chose from, plus I've got thousands of unpublished views as well! If you want more background and less tram, a lot of the shots are like that before cropping. Also what size is needed, is it 800 x 600 like your original example (note my sig will be omitted from any shot sent).

Hi Alan,

Not sure what tram would be best really, but i guess a Balloon would be the best bet. I am away this week and only have access to the net through my mobile (i thought a modem was slow! :-) ), so will have a root through your fotopic sites later in the week when i return home.

Thanks for the offer though and i will make sure you are fully credited.

Cheers, Chris

Hi,

I'm sorry to say that i've not been near tram sim since my last releases, but now Geoff's Fleetwood Patch has been deployed ok and it seems to be working, i'll get stuck into these screens.

I have a good selection of contributions now, spanning a few different tramways, so just need to build the screens from these images.

Will post some examples on here when they are done.

Cheers, Chris

Can I just ask how you make the splash screens, I wish to make one for my route (not tram related, Llanberis Lake Railway) but get error messages when loading the route.

Hi,

Of course you can!
If you go into C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Train Simulator\GUI\SCREENS , you will find all the different screens that are in train sim. Simply open the one you want to change in TGAtools2, edit it and then resave the ace file without alpha.

I would suggest backing up this folder incase you need to revert back to the originals.

I think TGATools is available on this site somewhere

Hope this helps and good luck with Llanberis Lake Railway. I'll finish Snowdon one day :D

making splash-screens

Post by dogspike »

Yuri Sos on his 'steam4me' site has all the instructions you need to make splash-screens, plus a whole lot of other very useful info.

http://www.railpage.org.au/steam4me/trainsim/index.html

While you're there, have a browse, has heaps of Oz stuff, and contrary to popular belief, when you install our trains into an English route, they don't run upside-down

Hi Chris,

Not had much chance to do anything recently on the Train Sim front.
Work has been mad for the last month or so, but that should ease off in the next weeks hopefully!! So I can then get back to doing these screens and the other projects i have in the WIP folder.

I have your IOM images and like look great in Sepia, so will be a welcome addtion. Thanks again for the pictures.

Cheers, Chris
