Looking good. I like the tramsim community's tendency to tell us what they're doing. It keeps us interested and saves someone spending many hours of work doing something that is already being done by someone else. Leaves them free to do something else and give us more variety. - Well [/u]I know what I mean!

Agreed. I was talking generally, and anyway you are telling us what you are doing and very acceptable it is (will be) too. Thanks for your efforts mate.

Ive managed to create central traction poles with lights on top for the middle of the wider 2 lane sections.
and modified the tramway straights so that the cobble texture is right.
However thats about it in the last week.
The change to the road has resulted in me changing the pivot point so its all a bit skewiff jsut now
Nothing much to show just now.
The next major development will hopefully be the houses on this hills.
Still no decent texturing though, hope to get most with aid of digital camera

Latest addition
<IMG width="646" height="524" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php ... tation.jpg">
Thanks to Jeff Layfields garage we now have a petrol station in Fableston.
The petrol pumps are loosley based on a Pratts model and a BP model.
No doubt this Petrol station could still exist to day as it is not dangerously close to property. (Pumps out side houses etc were wiped out up here years ago)
In the garage there is a Bugatti (Type 13 at a guess) and a Rolls Royce 20HP,
However at this stage there is no sign of any Omnibusses or Charabancs.
Or for that matter large grand houses.
Watch out im now in danger of attempting to recreate the Byfleet, Railway and Members Banking. (Someone here must know what i mreffering to.)

Well done Niall, that garage adds a bit of period to go with the older trams. We need some Brush Trams for this route, or some Glasgow Standards and maybe the Dundee Loche Cars, eh Niall.
Keep at it mate, your doing great so far. I like the cobbled look around the track.

That picture is old already, ive now got a decent entrance to it, which required a bit of reworking on the road layout.
And a cathedral based on Dundees "City Churches" has just been added.
Im lacking a decent Sandstone texture and a decent Harling texture.
Don't know when harling was first introduced i know that many of dundees houses that was built by Rob Caledon (Ship builders!) has a harling like texture to the steel walls. Think they were build 20sish.
I can get a texture of the side of the house but its mid 50s.
Walls i can get easily.
Best sand stone i can get at easily is on a ruined house up wormit bay and is more suitable for housing than the grand city center buildings.

Latest picture.
I was convinced that I had some red brick textures somewhere.
And I did.
The Brick texture you can see on these buildings is courtesy of the 2nd Tay Rail Bridge.
I still need to get on the roof to get a shot for the chimney textures....

Tonights picture shows one of the Termini/Passing Sections taking shape.
<IMG width="800" height="640" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php ... ermini.jpg">
In the distance you can see Terry Thorntons Dove Public House and its Beer Garden which contains items by Bruce Brayne and Fred Carter.
Given a bit of patience this should evetuanlly have a selection of houses, walls and trees. and maybe a pillar box and telephone box as well.
Fantastic views across the city shoudl be avaliable here as the steep brae to the right of this shot is not suitable for development.
I am nof officially scared that i will go over the object limit.

It is nicely coming together now Niall, certainly an improvement to the bare landscape, but try and darken the cobbles if you can, as they look like plastic bits from a model railway layout
(not being offensive, as you are doing a brilliant job) its just that they would look more in keeping with the period, if they where a few shades darker.
