Welcome back Vern (OK I know you may have been back for a while but I've been away-small matter of a heart attack in Greece) It's great to hear you have resurrected your pickaxes, shovels and boots and maybe taking up tracklaying again.
Thanks in advance as we know that anything you do is brilliant

Yes thanks, I'm doing fine. It was a bit hairy being so far from home but the treatment and care were far above what we are sometimes led to believe we'd get in Greece - mind you it was lucky we were on an island that had a hospital and didn't have to be transferred by ferry!
I put the attack down to the fact that I left my laptop at home and didn't have access to trainsim :lol:

Spent about 3 hours last night building an underpass and stairs up to one of the railway stations Gmax started crashing to desktop when i tried to add the group of items to the s file and then it did the same corrupting the gmax file.

Oh well start again time on that item, didn't like what i had made much anyway...

New approach to the underpass and stairway section.

Stairway is in 2 sections, underpass is seperate object and the very top level will become the station buildings once ive got them done and looking nice.

In reality im finsing stuff to do between replacing road sections with my bits and getting roudn to starting to get buildings, gardens etc sorted.

Whats most likley to let the scenery down is my texturing :(

Im still finding my mistake with the walls quite funny, liek what sort of numptie would think to put in 5m walls.... other than me.....

Its not the resizing of walls thats going to take a while its the gates

Tonights screen shot

<IMG width="640" height="512" SRC="http://www.atomic-album.com/showPic.php ... center.jpg">

The town center

In avoidance of working with the waklls up on the hill i decided i would start on the town center. this is block number one, untextured and unfinished, the 30meter high buildings surrounding the city square... not quite the Caird and Marriat halls but it is dundees Cit Square i intend on basing it on except there will be no road in it (road in dundee city square was closed late 80s followed by full pedrestrianisation of high street after a few years of busses only in the mid 90s). Whether or not i bother to include the Ecoli infested water fountains depends on finding soemone who could model soemthing like that. This is my first attempt at a CSG model (took me a whiel to discover its called a Binary compound shape in GMax) the sections dont' quite match up right and theres still a roof to go on it

Like the idea of the Scottish theme to your tramway

Keep going
