Just had a play with this - absolute cracker of a route, which is pretty much what I thought first time round :)

Contractors/Construction railways are unusual in MSTS but this is a delight to play.

Doesn't it come with the route Tony ?
An earlier post in this thread, said there was error in the ttype.dat file.

The route folder as downloaded has a ttype.dat file and alternative ttype .dat files which are temporarily invalid because the name has a suffix added. If I change the name of the ttype.dat file to "ttype.dat original" and rename the ttype/dat UKSteam file to "ttype.dat", when I try to run the route I get the message that "cfnarrowtrack.sms" cannot be found. Search cannot find any reference except in the Readme with CrossFell so I assumed it must be part of a UKSteamTrack file which I have not got. Parts I and III are available but not part II

Hi Tony
I haven't downloaded this route yet.... but I would guess they were included somewhere in the route download and they need transferring to the global sounds folder.
I would also guess that the CF stands for Cross Fell... so they won't be part of any other download.
Cheers

Jon,

You are. of course, right. I had copied the other two alternate sound files but I think that I must have copied one of them twice and not copied the UK Steam file sounds. The problem now will be deciding which to use! I should have checked
against the downloaded files, but didn't

Tony - sorry about that. Did you get it sorted ? probably the instructions weren't as clear as they could be.

I must say that the UKsteam tracks version is much better than the default but the commercial sound one - ra_eurotrack from railwaves is just brilliant if you have boogie coaches / stock. I could listen to Russell pulling a 3 coach L&B rack for ages. The clickity - clack is just fab.

Well worth the £5 in my opinion.

Any one got any funnies to report yet ? I can't belive that it has gone together ok first time ... :o
