just to let you guys know, I've created a second narrow gauge route, this time in rail simulator.

It's called the East Albert Light Railway. all the track is done and the sceenary is about 90% done. (no important missing bits) It has been uploaded and is currently waiting for aproval.
here is a link to the files immage.

This route is an imaginary route based on a garden railway (which is yet to be constructed)

The virtual line started out as a way of planning the stations layout and to get a better idea of what could and couldn’t fit into the garden... turns out it's just Alber Town and Leonards Lea.

However having started the line and got to grips with the program it seemed to make sense to finish the job and turn it into a full blown virtual railway, depicting all the stations I had already invented, but could not otherwise model. I am creating a website for the line, and may recreate some of the freelance rolling stock I have created out of wood and metal into RailSim, but we will see.

The line takes about 30-40 minutes to drive from one end to the other and requires the breaks to be set to running and carful use of the cut off and regulator to maintain boiler pressure along the prolonged gradients.

a new version of the East Albert Light Railway will soon be made avalable. (Version 2)

This version contains something like 10 times the amount of sceenery. you will now drive through acers of sceenic farm land, past bushes, rivers, radicaly improved bridges, over bracken covered hills, past Leonard's Lea and a much larger Dock town, compleet with sports ground. and of course you will drive past many many sheep. (wool mills need sheep)

The track bed has been drastically improved. Whilst nothing has been done to it that is outside the ability of an actual railway company (infact the sharp eyed driver will notice that although the track on the Alber town station has been flatened off, the platform hasnt.) By removing the bumps, smoothing out some of the gradients and moving the Y point of the track back slightly it has been made a much easier drive, enabeling slightly larger loads to be hauled. (one or two trucks extra)

There are more activitys included... about six including a now working free roam senario.

oh and the dock station has (after a sugestion from my dad) had it's name changed... though I expect only the older people who remember black and white telly will get the reference.

In fact I believe the only area that hasnt been improved is the owners manor house.
