Will,

I can tell you're excited. As you would say "Yey!" :P

How long before you're playing it while actually travelling on the Ratty?

That is an inspired idea...sit on a train and pretend you're driving it! Good to hear things are still progressing.

I'd just like to say how absolutely delighted I am that you are doing this project.

The Ratty is almost single-handedly responsible for a life of train-crankery in me: both my first steps and my first words were in Ravenglass (well have you tried crawling on those hard carpet tiles they used to have in Elmira and Maid Of Kent?!), and my family holidayed there at least once a year (sometimes twice) throughout the 70s. I did a few guarding turns myself back in the mid/late 1980s, and I can certainly recognise the hand-signalling points along your route!

To say your version captures the atmosphere of the original just doesn't come close to doing those pictures justice - I look forward massively to seeing this wonderful project realised.

Thanks!!!

mick

Hi Guys,

Just a quick update for you. The route is nearing completion and is just awaiting a few minor touches to complete it. Currently the team is looking at a release date hopefully earlier rather than later in 2010. Sorry I can't be more specific than that at the moment.

All I can say is, having had a play on it, it will be worth waiting for. Roll on 2010 is all I can say.

Cheers,

Ben
