Post by davidaward »

Some of you may or may not be aware of the Ravenglass and Eskdale project that I have been working on, so here are a few pictures now we have some work to show............

We join Shelagh of Eskdale in the headshunt at Ravenglass. Stock is by Tim Elsby for the route.

And we pull forwards into the station

We set out past the shed

Running across Barrow Marsh

And through Muncaster Mill

Entering Miteside Loop.

Just to show that I am still working on this project..........

Work has been slower of late as I've been learning a few 3d modeling skills in Google earth, and as a result I've built all the platforms!

Ok Here we go- and its looking more familiar now..............

A Quick update on Dalegarth.................

Lots more detailing and the lower floor to add, but I'm getting the hang of modelling buildings now.

Looking good although I'd take out the platform markers for now. Things like platform/siding markers, signals and car spawners have a habit of going wrong so are best left until the end. Ontop of that, all of them (bar the car spawners?) will be lost if you have to rebuild the track database.
Awaiting a computer that'll run KRS... *twiddles thumbs*

Track is final layout- so the markers will be unaffected. Signalling ain't been installed yet, but that's minimal on the ratty anyway as above Ravenglass its all Radio signalling. For this I'll have invisible signals at the end of each loop!

Working on the Whillan Beck Bridge now at Dalegarth, its coming together well now...........
