So what if Kevin wants to build the Ffestiniog or any other narrow gauge route in RS?
If you can't say anything positive about such a good development in such a short time for a new simulator then just go away will you?

I for one am glad people are developing for RS - it doesn't make it any easier when people keep posting how MSTS 2 will be better then it, which may well not be the case at all in the end.

If anyone should be waging an anti-RS campaign, it should be me.....I cannot build the NET in RS due to not being able to get tight enough curves! But I'm not doing so!!!

Have to disagree, Doug.

Kev's the least contentious modeller I know and among the least contentious members. He only posts when he's actually done something and never even sounds like he has a campaign for anything yet alone against.

There's a world of difference and I know you know it and attempting to maintain the peace as good mods do

As for Toe-Treading, no problem there but I do have plans to re-build the TR in KRS once the NG problems have been fixed. I glad that Kevin has already spent time with the track issues which are beyond me so I'll be building on where he leads (as usual )
I already have the terrain in and it looks pretty good given the low res DEM. But I can see a long ramp up on skills needed and no cheat book like I used in MSTS (Micheal Vone's Route Builder book)
Thankfully people like Kevin will be around to give lots of advice on the model making and some guys already know lots about the route building.

Been playing around with couplers today and managed to make a set of working NG Chopper couplers.

Britomart gently rolls up to her train with raised chopper............



As the buffers touch the choppers falls and couples the train together..........



It really does look quite effective.

Have to say that NG looks very good in Railsim. I'm finding it hard to go back to Msts or Trainz, after seeing some of my stuff converted over to the new sim
