Re: re-size
Uncompress shape file in route riter
Scale it by the desired size (eg x2 or x0.5) in shape file manager (sfm)
Compress the shape file again in route riter.
Job done!

Re: re-size
Route Riter is an essential additonal program for users of Train Simulator. It offers an easy check on routes and rolling stock, shows up faults and omissions and often provides automatic corrections for these things' . You can download it from the UKTrainsim home page.
Like Train Store it is almost essental if you want to run modern routes on Train Simulator

Hi
Shape File Manager will uncompress the .S shape file for you and recompress it when you've finished making adjustments. You may want to take a copy of the model you're interested in - perhaps rename it to avoid confusion ( though beware - see comment below). Open SFM ( available from here and a few other places) and have a play with the copy and see how you get on. Note that engines will have a .SD file which contains additional information which may need to be updated if you change the .S file.
However, be aware that for the model to work correctly, the various files associated with the model have to have the correct names, so if you've altered a copy of a model and want to try it out, you'll need to swap the altered .S file back into the appropriate trainset folder - of course, saving a safe copy of the original for when things go wrong.
If you haven't played with the various files, take the time to look at the tutorials and help for beginners - and remember only to use a unicode text editor if you want to play with .eng files..........
cheers
