Many thanks for the explanation Jontan. It was the Luttermoller system I was thinking of (I've often visited the site you give the ref. for). I notice that it has something in common with Heywood / Klien-Lindner system: the driving gear wheel is driven from a pin fixed in the ball on the fixed axle. K-L has this feature on the swivelling axles.

On the preserved railway in Wales where I am a volunteer we will soon have a working Rumanian 'Resita' 0-8-0T with K-L articulation. Having seen the underneath of another 'Resita', I don't envy the driver oiling up in the morning!

Nice looking engine, and nice modelling too. I'm still only just getting the hang of SketchUp! :) Seriously though, good work.

Quite a lot added now, also remodelled part of the cab as it was causing nasty shadows.

What type of valve gear is that? Looks fun to animate - I finally got my head around Baker by building a lego model. This looks cool though...

Sorry i haven't updated in a while, had a bit of modelling to do for my University course which took priority.

My method of texture creation is... odd. And time consuming. But it seems to work.
