Lol - c'mon guys - don't give too much away :)

Back on topic we should be at the LBR, in a "big tent" with the Indian tourist board - although No. 19 needs a guaging run before the event is even confirmed.

Hope they've set the valves on that thing now. When it was on the FR it wasn't too keen on going backwards.

A bit more back on topic, here are all 4 named class B's with subtle differences beside the names and numbers

( I realised too late that the overlays were put onto the basic .s file with the old square coal - the next pictures will show the real stuff)

Is Mountaineer meant to have a bird on the cylinder covers?

I'm glad that people are actually looking, and the answer is Yes - a photo on p 270 of "Halfway to Heaven" shows one one this engine - as does one on the rear of the dust jacket. The crews embellish their engines in all manner of ways not seen in the UK for an awful long while, though I don't think that anyone has yet installed fountains on them - as was done on the LT&SR for the Coronation of (I think) Edward VII.

No probs, figured Himalyan Bird was probably meant to have one but thought it a little odd on Mountaineer.

Amazing considering the crew were (and probably are) paid peanuts that they took the effort to decorate their engines.

On special occasions they produce some very special effects indeed - wedding trains for instance, - but that would strain the poly limit - pity....

I don't think that the loco ever ran on the DHR like this, but this is how it looks sat on a plinth at North East Frontier Railway headquarters

That looks magnificent! Very well done! Who would have thought a blue smokebox would look so good!
