Puffing Billy Railway

Post by trainmad »

Hi all,

Not sure if anybody knows about this, but http://steam4me.railpage.org.au has some Truescale Narrow Gauge stuff from the Puffing Billy Railway to download.

There are some locomotives:

All of that type, reskined into various liverys.

And some coaching stock:

All by Craig Walton and Matt Austin.

Yeah, there's some really good stuff on that site. Never did get around to getting an Aussie route to run it on though!

These Puffing Billy locos, are about as near as are available at present to the Leek & Manifold Kitson locos. As this route is no longer being attempted, I thought I would have a go at it.
But before any of you get too excited, my Route Building skills are not too clever. I am just getting to grips with the RE and decided to have a go at building this route.
Presently, I am finshing adding all the Illuminations to Vern's Blackpool Tramway Route, and as soon as this has been completed. I might have a go at the L&M. Below is a screen shot of the Puffing Billy loco's and Pikering coaches. At Hulme End. I have laid some of the route out as a test bed for building this route, but presently, this is just for my own enjoyment, as the L&M has always been a soft spot for me.
